Konstantin Grcic, born in Munich in 1965, trained as a cabinet maker before studying design at the Royal College of Art in London. Since setting up his own design practice in Munich, he has developed furniture, products and lighting for some of Europe's leading design companies, including Authentics, Cappellini Driade, Flos, Iittala, SCP and Wireworks. His Mayday lamp, produced by Flos, is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
